Congratulations to Master Jonah Rutherford Caldwell. He won 2nd place in N.J. Brockman Oratorical Contest at the South Carolina Baptist Congress of Christian Education State One Day Session.
The event occurred Saturday, November 5, 2022, in West Columbia SC at Brookland Baptist Church. Brother Caldwell is the son of Brother James t. Caldwell and Sister Chefonda D. Caldwell. Jesse Caldwell is his older brother. Jonah’s Paternal Grandparents are the late James Rufus Caldwell and Bessie Lee Caldwell. Has Maternal Grandparents are Deacon George Byrd Jr. and Mrs. Barbara Ann Byrd.
Jonah is a member of Mr. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where Dr. Samuel Neely Jr. serves as Interim Pastor. Master Caldwell is a member of the Sunday School Youth Choir, Youth Ushers, and Youth Ministry. He is a seventh-grade student at Hughes Academy – Greenville County School District. Sister Vera Wynn is the Sunday School Superintendent. To God be the glory for Jonah’s win. We are excited for him.
